Mark Lettieri is a GRAMMY-winning musician who’s enlivening instrumental guitar and making a name for himself as a bandleader. He is an award-winning guitarist, composer and producer.
He built his chops working in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex’s gospel and R&B scene, which lead to his joining Snarky Puppy in 2008. Aside from Snarky Puppy, Lettieri has spent time on the road with neo-soul icon Erykah Badu, Phillip Phillips, and many others. To his fans, he has become beloved for the hybridity of his styles and mastery of technique.
While building the breadth of his own project, he has simultaneously made available tutorial lessons to aspiring guitarists. As a composer/bandleader, Lettieri has released four albums: Knows in 2011, Futurefun in 2013, Spark and Echo in 2016. Most recently, he released “Things of That Nature (2019) on GroundUP records,” which found itself in the top 10 most purchased jazz albums on iTunes.
In 2018, Lettieri helped form The Fearless Flyers, with Cory Wong, Nate Smith, and Joe Dart. The Vulfpeck-adjacent quartet has five releases to date: The Fearless Flyers (2018), The Fearless Flyers II (2019), Tailwinds (2020), Live at Madison Square Garden (2021), The Fearless Flyers III (2022), and The Fearless Flyers IV (2024). The band is a regular presence on the jazz and jam-band festival scene.
Mark is also known for his sizable fanbase and social media network, with over 145,000 followers on Instagram, and growing.
